Elise and Alex. I met Elise and her mom on a chilly morning at a local Starbucks. The wedding was scheduled for July at the Pavilion at Rocky Neck State Park( a hidden treasure). Sweet and subdued with a touch of gold was what we were looking for. A bouquet that featured anthurium as well as succulents while still styled in a more traditional manner, along with the glorious garden roses and dusty miller was designed for Elise. The maids carried simple bouquets of baby breath. Just a few ribbon tied bundles of baby breath decorated the chairs leaving the dramatic backdrop of the Atlantic crashing against the rocks as their altar. Inside the spacious rough hewn wood and stone reception area we mixed it up with the tables set with either small clusters of medicine bottles or larger arrangements in collected, mismatched golden mercury glass containers. Dahlias, tea roses, Queen Anne’s lace were among the flowers that helped set the beachy New England scene. The cake set against the castle rampart style windows was a sight to behold. The classic New England vista and menu made it a great time for all!
